One platform for the work across your pharma systems
An operational issue rarely belongs to one application. A failed business document may point to a partner record. A serialization exception may need evidence from several systems. vSMAART brings exception management, master data, transactions, and integration into a connected platform.
Understand each part of the process
CheQD manages the issue and the work to resolve it. SynQD manages the reference data that workflows depend on. TransaQD handles EDI and B2B document processing. ConneQD handles connections and data movement between applications.
Each module has a clear role. The combination you need depends on your current systems and the process you want to improve.
Follow an issue from detection to verified resolution
- Identify the issue. Capture what failed and which transaction, partner, or record is involved.
- Gather context. Review the relevant data and system results available through the configured workflow.
- Assign the next step. Give the issue an owner and identify what needs investigation or correction.
- Make the approved correction. Update the appropriate source or configuration through the agreed process.
- Confirm the outcome. Check the downstream result and record the evidence before closing the issue.
Work with the systems you already use
The starting point is your current environment. Identify which system owns each record, where transactions enter and leave, and which team makes each decision. This helps define the role of vSMAART without creating competing sources of truth. Review integration requirements.
Choose a focused first use case
Begin with a process that has a clear owner and a measurable problem. Examples include repeated EDI failures, incomplete partner data, or serialization cases that require manual evidence gathering. Define the workflow and success measure before expanding the scope.
Know what the implementation needs
Useful inputs include a system list, sample documents, an example exception, partner requirements, and the expected business outcome. Your team and VariTec can use these inputs to agree the module scope, connection approach, and acceptance criteria.
Questions
Does every customer need all four modules? No. The module scope should follow the workflow and the capabilities already available in your environment.
Does vSMAART replace an L4 system? vSMAART is an operations layer that works with existing systems. Do not assume it replaces an L4 platform or changes that platform's responsibilities.
Is every step automatic? The workflow determines which steps are manual, assisted, or automated. Discuss approval points as part of the implementation scope.
