SynQD ยท Master data management

Manage pharma master data with SynQD

SynQD is the master data management module in vSMAART. It helps teams maintain the product, partner, and location records used in pharmaceutical operations.

Give business workflows a consistent data foundation

Different systems may hold different versions of the same record. A missing identifier or an outdated partner detail can stop a transaction and create work for several teams. SynQD helps teams manage and validate this reference data through an agreed process.

Manage the records your team relies on

Product data. Maintain the identifiers and product attributes needed by your workflows. Define required values and the source responsible for each field.

Partner and location data. Keep the identifiers and location details used to match parties across systems. Distinguish the company from the specific location involved in a transaction.

Validation rules. Check records against the rules agreed for your process. Identify missing or inconsistent values so an owner can review and correct them.

Data onboarding. Use the supported import process to prepare new records. Review the outcome before those records become part of live transactions.

Make ownership clear

A data record needs more than a value. Your process should define who owns the value, where it came from, and how changes are accepted.

Illustrative workflow. A new trading partner provides its company and location details. The data owner reviews the identifiers and required fields, resolves gaps, and confirms the approved record. Confirm the available approval and synchronization controls for your deployment.

Connect data quality to operational work

When a transaction exposes a data issue, CheQD can support the resolution work. SynQD is the module for the related master data. TransaQD and ConneQD support the document and system handoffs within the agreed design.

Questions

Which identifiers can we discuss during discovery? Bring the product and location identifiers used by your systems, such as GTIN, NDC, GLN, and partner-specific codes. Confirm the supported fields and validation rules for your use case.

Does SynQD replace the ERP as the data owner? Not by default. Define the system of record for each data type.

Can we add data specific to our process? Discuss the extra attributes your workflow needs, and confirm how custom fields are represented, validated, imported, and exchanged.
